Sounds good (better than what I had in mind) but do as /sp/ said and hold off on the link/wsg/1 wrote:Alright, so I can't do the logo because I don't have Photoshop with me right now and pixlr can't curve text, but I think we could do something like this:
ATTENTION!
The 4chan Congress is looking to improve the site we all know and love, and we are looking for a representative from each board.
The following boards need a representative: <list boards here>
This is not a joke or a troll. If you would like to assist in our effort to change 4chan for the better, please go to https://4congress.forumotion.com/ for more information and to inquire about joining the congress.
What do you guys think?
Re: board recruitment discussion
Also, what about the porn boards and the cancer containment boards? Wasn't it general consensus that the porn boards would get 1 rep for drawn porn and 1 rep for regular porn, and that the cancer containment boards won't get reps?

Re: board recruitment discussion
I don't know about the cancer containment boards but I believe the decision on the NSFW/porn boards was to get as many reps for each board, and if we don't have enough, just have one established rep for NSFW/porn boards./wsg/1 wrote:Also, what about the porn boards and the cancer containment boards? Re: board recruitment discussion
/Mlp/ can get a voice if were going to give /fur/ one... /soc/ started as cancer containment and they evolved inot a legit board and have a voice now, so I say give them a chance. S4s is pure autism though. Thats why they dont have one.
Re: board recruitment discussion
Doesn't look like it so far. We can always try again later.

ATTENTION!
The 4chan Congress is looking to improve the site we all know and love, and we are looking for a representative from each board.
The following boards need a representative in the 4chan Congress:
/ d / e / f / gif / h / hr / m / p / r / s / t / u / v / vg / w / wg / [i / ic] [r9k] [cm / hm / lgbt / y] [3 / adv / an / asp / biz / cgl / ck / co / diy / fa / fit / gd / hc / int / jp / lit / mlp / n / po / pol / sci / tg / toy / trv / tv / vp /
This is not a joke or a troll. If you want to be a representative, you must be serious about this.
If this thread gets enough interest, I will post a link to the 4chan Congress forums.
Thank you.

Its unrealistic to look for 100% efficency. This was to be expected. Persistence is key

Re: board recruitment discussion
Hi, I would just like to set some guidelines, or rather, suggestions for making a representative recruitment thread on any board.
For sake of convenience this guide applies to /b/, as most of our threads or posts will likely appear there.
1. First and most importantly, always check with the forum before making any thread pertaining to 4congress. Currently, we're looking to have one thread per board per day so we aren't seen as "spam" or "flooding".
2. When making a thread, be sure to leave out the link to our site. This serves two purposes: We first want to build hype and find people who are genuinely interested in our project/forum before linking offsite, and by keeping an offsite link out of our initial post, we can avoid being cleaned or blacklisted prematurely by any moderators that may be screening the threads.
3. Be willing to accept the possibility of a temporary/permanent ban. If you're linking offsite often or even promoting our site too often, you may be eligible for a ban.
Also on a related note, keep your linking to a minimum. We don't want to attract too much attention from 4chan mods or malicious members.
/c/ rep has posted helpful links here: https://4congress.forumotion.com/t9-vpn-and-proxy-solutions
4. Bring someone else. As established, always check in with the forum before making a thread. Anyone online is expected to help out with our 4chan threads when possible, as well as helping to direct new members once they're here.
5. And finally, when posting a recruit thread on 4chan, include the following either initially or in a later post:
• All open representative positions
• Clear instructions on how to become a member here
(Example for current setup:
-Register
->Site Discussion >Sticky: "MOD APPLICATION"
->Site Discussion > "TimeZone's For Moderation Purposes.")
I may add to this post when necessary. Please suggest amendments where you see fit.

Looks and sounds good. Again I'm usually free after 4:30 P.M. or so up until about 12:30 A.M.Spooky /x/ Rep wrote:Hi, I would just like to set some guidelines, or rather, suggestions for making a representative recruitment thread on any board.

Re: board recruitment discussion
I usually go to bed around the same time EST. Got too drunk watching the game to actively participate tonight. Anyone here from /vr/? Where's he been? Kinda can't make anyone official till he comes on.
Re: board recruitment discussion
I don't know. If worst comes to worst then we'll have to make a new forum and move EVERYTHING over to it... and that will be a real bitch./sp/ found a way ## Admin wrote:I usually go to bed around the same time EST. It has been a few days, give it a week and then I will worry enough for everyone. This does bring up an issue on personal communication between Mods, Admin, and users. Other than some burner E-mail accounts or ghost Skype accounts a definite way to contact users needs to be addressed, or at the least a way for the Admins to privately communicate. Unfortunately this may be akin to pulling teeth for some of us myself included.

Back on /x/ I was organizing a project with two other people-- we all made gmail accounts. They're fast, easy, and include handy things like Google Drive document sharing.

That might be a decent option for a few of the more active Mods here.

I think this site has a PM system, but I haven't used it.
