I hope it wont until we get our shit together and look professional.
Alright, I'll hold off on it then.
Although, I still got the original congress thread open, and someone is threatening to link us to "feminazi HQ" if we don't give him rep status for /b/. Ignore, I suppose? Only brought it up because you can't be too careful.
fuck 'em.
We should really work on figuring out how to get our names out there, the support of the other users of 4chan, and majority board representation. Ideas?
Maybe over the coming month, we could post regularly on /b/ about the congress until we get the reps, and then we vote on issues again come the second monday of july?
How about instead of posting exclusively on /b/, over the course of the month we catalog the reps we have, and seek out the missing ones on their boards? I think it'd be a much more efficient method.
i think that sounds like a good way of going about it
thing is, we'll have to be pretty wary of the trolls
We can weed out trolls as they come. The more members we have however, the more mods we'll need. Ideally ones in different time-zones to keep the site monitored as thoroughly as possible.
I apologize if I'm coming off as over-ambitious or hijacking. Just offering suggestions.
call me a try-hard, but i find the ambitiousness refreshing. We kinda lucked out on this site, considering the overwhelming majority of trolls in the general population, this came together well.
Judging by the thread, I think the trolls seem plenty occupied.
And I think it is completely necessary to be as ambitious as possible. Everyone involved needs to be hyped and committed. I've organized projects and events on /x/, and have found that more often than not these anonymous projects fall apart if they aren't put together and executed as soon as possible. I think we should try to recruit more reps, however, subtly. If we spam the boards we run the risk of having a blacklisted URL.

i definitely agree: seeming like you know what you're doing is step one to getting what you're hoping to do done (that was a finger fumbler)

fair enough. so lets see... who do we need to target? i know /v/ was noticeably absent. shouldnt be too hard to recruit them, that board is shit anyway, so we dont run the risk of being banned.
Also i dont think we are going to get any of the porn threads. Look at the 4chan cup. They made it pretty clear that the porn threads are everyones secondary thread.

How about we have another go at a thread tomorrow and then form a list of people we have and people we need? In these early stages organization is pivotal.

Re: general discussion?
should we make a proper list of all the ones we don't have and remove the porn ones?
Re: general discussion?
So it's my understanding that a moderator position is open only to the first /board/ representative to apply for admin, correct?
If this is true, can we have a specific "marking" to show our moderator position? I'm only afraid of confusion that might be caused by multiple people from the same boards having like-names or similar names.

from what i gather the blue name is a mod symbol, but thats also pretty discreetSpooky /x/ Rep wrote:So it's my understanding that a moderator position is open only to the first /board/ representative to apply for admin, correct?

makes sense, i was going to and backed out half way. lost my progress, but there were alot. lol

I personally feel that we should have porn-related boards involved in our congress. We may vote on things pertaining to their interests./a/ wrote:should we make a proper list of all the ones we don't have and remove the porn ones?

i dont think we shouldnt, but as the 4chan cup showed, the porn boards are everyones secondary boards. no one goes on 4chan and just stays in /gif/ you know?

Valid point, but perhaps we should have a catch-all "minority" board representative? These "minority reps" can represent groups of smaller, less-frequented, or otherwise obscure boards. (Example: "NSFW/Porn Rep")

Re: general discussion?
it would make sense. Even if porn boards aren't a primary board for many people, they're still a board nonetheless and decisions can and probably will impact them.

Re: general discussion?
well if we're insistent, then i'll camp up with /x/. Make someone (not already a rep) a nsfw rep. I have no qualms whatsoever with all boards being included, im just saying from past experience, its easier said then done.
Re: general discussion?
Hi guys. I'm back. Miss me?
Anyway, I think that a minority rep for porn boards sounds good until the need for individual reps for each board becomes apparent.
